FULL_ANALYSIS

TERMINAL://PROSPECT_ANALYSIS/DERRICKSON

SYSTEM_ANALYSIS: ROTATION_TIER PROSPECT

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Marcus Derrickson is a high-upside stretch 4 with a modern perimeter profile. His combination of scoring efficiency, and basketball IQ gives him a solid floor in the league while offering significant upside if his all-around game continues to develop.

OFFENSIVE EVALUATION: Derrickson's calling card is his scoring efficiency. He's a fluid scorer who can knock down tough shots from all levels. His mechanics are sound, and he's comfortable operating from the perimeter or in transition. The issue is consistency; he has stretches where the shot doesn't fall and his impact wanes. His handle needs development, but he's intelligent enough to use his skill set to his advantage.

DEFENSIVE EVALUATION: Derrickson's defensive profile is a work in progress. He struggles to consistently contest shots and can be outmuscled in the paint. His lateral quickness is average, and he'll need to improve his positioning and effort to become a reliable defender at the next level.

PROJECTION: Marcus Derrickson projects as a rotation player if his efficiency translates to the NBA. His floor is a bench contributor who can space the floor and knock down open threes. His ceiling is a quality two-way contributorwho can be a key role player on a playoff team. The development of his handle and defensive skills will determine his long-term success.
