Athletic 3+D with playmaking and shot creation upside, but coming into the league as a 24 year old EXECUTIVE_SUMMARY: Has a game that could easily translate to being a role-player on a contending team. Great size and athleticism for a PF in the NBA, making him capable of guarding 3s and 5s. Age keeps him from being a top 10 lock, but playoff/play-in teams in the lottery would be dying to add Yaxel. OFFENSIVE_EVALUATION: Has very few weaknesses. Very good catch and shoot ability, really good in transition, and someone who is capable of scoring at all 3 levels. Didn't take the mid range shot that often but it looked developable. Showed legitimate upside as a playmaker/passer. The key to whether he takes that next step or ends up as a solid role player is whether or not he can create his own shot consistently. Was a consistent player and low-usage, so his floor will be high coming into the league but it is still a question mark how high is ceiling really is. DEFENSIVE_EVALUATION: Really, really good defender. Can defend multiple positions and was one of the most impactful defenders in the country at Michigan, as well as being a stocks machine at UAB. Was a decent rebounder at Michigan but monster on the glass at UAB, so rebounding numbers will likely depend on what team picks him. Physical defender. Doesn't really have any weaknesses on that end of the floor. PROJECTION: PROJECTION: Starting PF on a contending team Prime: 15.8 PPG, 7.5 RPG, 3.6 APG, 1.3 SPG, 1.6 BPG
