EXECUTIVE_SUMMARY: Chris Cenac Jr.’s world-class physical tools are heavily capped by delayed mental diagnostic speed. Offensively, his stark perimeter-settling habits will be countered by elite defenses switching smalls onto his pop actions, forcing him to execute live-dribble passing reads that he consistently fails to process on time. Defensively, his low-volume interior shot deterrence prevents him from anchoring small-ball looks at the 5 spot, while his off-ball awareness drops ensure modern continuity perimeter offenses will ruthlessly hunt him through multi-action screen sets. OFFENSIVE_EVALUATION: Pretty easy eval, freak athlete that needs to learn how to play a role and fit within an offensive system. Has no real bankable trait to contribute positive value in the nba as of now. Hope is that he works on jumper and makes strides as a spacer, continues to get stronger and contribute as vertical spacer and o reb. DEFENSIVE_EVALUATION: Best asset as of now is his d reb impact, uses his length and leaping ability well, but other than that it all projection based. Poor rim instincts as a rim protector, no awareness as a help defender, solid on ball due to mobility but not high IQ enough to withstand nba speed of offenses PROJECTION: Pure developmental prospect, with an elite testing and length combo which is always worht a late 1st/early 2nd flier for the chance he becomes a usable player. But other than that he doesnt have any traits to translate to the nba, best case he become a stretch mobile big , he needs big strides IQ and awareness wise which can happen he is only a freshman. But it is all projection as of now, can easily be out the league after his rookie contract.
