ooooooooooterrrrrr PHYSICALS: Official Measurables 6'5 Barefoot 188 lbs. 6'6.25" Wingspan 8'4' Standing Reach STRENGTHS: Games Watched Illinois v. Alabama Illinois v. Texas Tech Illinois v. Tennessee Illinois v. Ohio State Illinois v. Purdue Illinois v. USC Illinois v. Northwestern Illinois v. Nebraska Strengths - Really good positional size and length, which opens positional versatility for him if NBA teams view him as more of a forward. - Smooth and methodical handle, he's very fluid and crafty on his way to the rim even if he can be unorthodox at times. - Elite three point shooter, arguably the best in the class, shooting 40.6% on nearly 6 attempts per game, with 49% of all his shots being three pointers (40% of them were catch and shoot, 60% off the dribble). - He shot 41% on catch and shoot threes, and 43% on spot up's, which is pretty encouraging for more of a wing/off ball role at the NBA level. - Limitless range from three, he can pull up from spots other guys wouldn't even consider. - He beats guys with his length and long strides when driving to the rim, and he's able to finish pretty well despite not having top tier athletic traits in large part to his ability to manipulate defenders with pace. - He's very active when it comes to getting rebounds and boxing out. He really knows how to use his frame to his advantage to grab offensive boards as well. - Above average at finishing through contact at the rim, it's not easy fore defenders to speed up his pace. - He's solid at drawing fouls, averaging nearly 6 FT's per game, and 11 FT's per 100 possessions, making them at a near 80% clip. - Very smart passer, he makes good decisions with the ball and can find open teammates in transition or on the perimeter routinely when coming downhill. - His defense isn't as bad as some make it out to be, at the very least he moves his feet and contests shots when his man is in front of him, and his length gives him a decent floor at the next level. - His ability to create his own shot from three is exceptional, any move you can imagine to get a three off he has in his bag. - His midrange game is far from a finished product, but he can make some really tough shots on occasion. WEAKNESSES: Weaknesses - Can be indecisive at times in the paint, forcing bad shots or allowing defenders to strip him of the ball. - Has moments where he'll settle for really tough turnaround jumpers instead of trying to pass the ball once his drive is stopped in the paint. - He has some nice moments in the midrange, but doesn't consistently create separation at all. He'll need to improve before he's a true three level scorer - Lacks natural defensive instincts, leading to him getting blown by or backdoored due to this unawareness. - Gives very little defensive effort on chase downs or once his man has him beat. - Lack of elite athletic traits may limit him to more of a secondary scorer role at the NBA level, at least early on in his career. - If he knows he's beat on defense he'll abandon his man early to go after boards. This is an issue when he falls for shot fakes or doesn't switch properly and gives up open looks. - If he's asked to play a forward role in the NBA, this means he'll have to take on the harder defensive assignments that a forward typically has. Don't be surprised if offenses attack him early in his career. - He was pretty good finishing against physicality despite his thinner frame, but against bigger athletes in the NBA it could be more of a struggle. - Zero total dunks the entire season, so it's clear his game lacks verticality. - Like every college guard ever, he struggles mightily to get around screens.
