Speedy "small guard" with elite athleticism and legitimate NBA lead guard potential. EXECUTIVE_SUMMARY: Speedy lead guard with good bounce and an ability to get to the rim. Very efficient from the mid range, but still developing 3pt shot. Good feel and creativity as a playmaker, but may be too reliant on speed to create and handle may be underdeveloped. Disruptive POA defender, but not very switchable. Some concern about consistent defensive impact due to size. OFFENSIVE_EVALUATION: A blur with the ball, routinely bursts past defenders to get to the rim, pullup from mid range or create for his teammates. Advantage creation is mostly centered around his burst/speed and while he'll likely be one of the faster players in the league, will need to develop handle and agility to ensure he becomes a high level creator in the NBA. Occasionally struggled to get by athletic wing defenders as they are able to slide with him and he isn't strong enough to get through them. Gets to the rim at high rate (86th %ile in rim att per/100), but not the most efficient finisher despite his elite vertical. Not an elite playmaker, but certainly well above average and displays a few creative assists and pinpoint cross court passes on film. Playmaking ceiling may be limited by size as he can't create certain angles for passes. Solid as a PNR handler, excels at getting to the rim or finding the open man, but currently lacks outside shot to be elite. While efficient from 3 (38.7%), lacks the volume (21st %ile in 3PA/100) to feel truly confident about him as a shooter right now. Shot can be flat and come off with weird spin at times which may need to be tweaked in the future. Gets great lift and elevation on mid range jumper (especially off the dribble) where spin and flatness of shot are not an issue. Clutch gene, routinely makes big plays down the stretch of games. DEFENSIVE_EVALUATION: Impressive event creator for a smaller guard (1.8 stocks/game). Disruptive in quite a few ways as he generates plenty of deflections/steals on passes and also loves to poke the ball free as a help defender as players drive by. Decent enough on-ball defender, but may be a little to small to avoid being "hunted" on some occasions. Should be able to add enough weight/strength to guard up to 2s comfortably, but doesn't project to be the most switchable defender. Will also need to develop screen navigation to reach upper echelon of guard defenders. Should be an above average rebounder due to his athleticism and competitiveness. PROJECTION: Within the top 10-15 of lead guards in the league. Better event creator/off ball than on-ball defender.
