Spacing has enough evidence to be respectable at least and potential plus if it continues to develop. Offers some dribble drive value against smaller players if he can overpower with his strength. High IQ player that will not make the team worse but have some questions about how much of a true needle mover he is at peak nba level DEFENSIVE_EVALUATION: Plus rebounder, higher iq player that can be a positive team / help defender due to positioning / angles. Biggest concern is he is not vertical enough to be a positive rim protector playing the role as a big and not agile/quick enough to defend on the perimeter so teams would need sufficient defensive ecosystem around him to be a helper than true defensive role. PROJECTION: Highest feel/IQ player age adjusted in college recent history. It has hard to see how someone with his blend of IQ,power,and skill does not carve out a positive impact role in the nba. My concern when discussing him as a top 1 pick is I dont know if i buy high level shot creation upside at the nba level to be a consitent advantage creator at the nba level. I think he will be a high level connective piece and can be an all star level impact player, but I dont see 1st option upside on a championship contender. That along with defensive identity concerns make his profile as a #1 pick shaky for me in my criteria I need a #1 pick to offer high upside advanatge creation to be a true offensive impact , He is most certainly worth a top 3 pick in any class.
