bro got that luka conditioning oh nah PHYSICALS: Official Measurements 7'3" Barefoot 259.8 lbs. 7'6" Wingspan 9'9" Standing Reach STRENGTHS: Games Watched All of Michigan's NCAA tournament games Michigan v. Ohio State Michigan v. Washington Michigan v. Wake Forest Michigan v. Northwestern Michigan v. UCLA Michigan v. Wisconsin Strengths - I'm stating the obvious, but he's absolutely massive. He'd potentially be the second tallest player in the NBA. - Very light-footed and agile for his height but also his weight. He's not thin and wiry like many other centers are. - He's an unreal shot blocker, averaging 2.8 BPG and 6.8 blocks per 100 possessions. - He's more than just a shot blocker on defense, with opponents shooting just 30% on FG's in his area. - Held rollers in the P&R to just 27% shooting against him on 30 attempts total. Low volume but very good numbers. - Solid on the defensive glass, securing 7 RPG and 16.7 rebounds per 100 possessions. - Really good play finisher, averaging 11 PPG on nearly 66% TS in just 23 MPG. 70% of his FG attempts were at the rim, and he was able to make 74% of them. - Shot 75% on putbacks, which is in large part to his positioning ability. - His elite touch allows him to score with off the glass layups, post up's, or even floaters on occasion. - Very rare passing upside for his size, averaging 2.5 APG and an 18.5 AST%. It's not just numbers though, some of the passes he makes on tape are exceptional. - His IQ as a passer is great for a center and will open up a real opportunity for him to be an offensive hub with some more development. - Transition passing is a strength, which is great considering he's the guy grabbing most defensive boards. WEAKNESSES: Weaknesses - Averages nearly 4 fouls per 40 minutes but they typically come in bunches, limiting the length of his stints on the court. Paired with his poor conditioning, he really doesn't play many minutes. - Doesn't do much of anything on the offensive glass aside from some putbacks, but he doesn't often generate second chances for his teammates. - Shot 86% on dunks in large part to his lack of physicality. - As a passer Mara can often look for flashy passes when he doesn't need to and it results in turnovers. - He can wait too long to pass the ball to cutters at times and allow himself to get swarmed. - He lacks physicality in his overall game, getting moved off his spots on offense and defense and failing to set good screens. - Adding muscle will be paramount to his success, currently he sort of shies away from contact. - Conditioning is a serious issue, he looked tired very often on film and only played in short spurts. While he was productive in his minutes, you're going to want more than 20 MPG from a potential top 10 selection. - His three point shot is hardly a part of his game, only going 3/10 from three the entire season. He's going to need to seriously develop his jumper before it's ever a serious threat in the NBA. - Very poor FT shooter, making 56% of them on almost 4 attempts per game.
