A guard with seemingly infinite range Wagler can hit any shot in the game. Excellent size allows him to get to the rim and the line consistently, combined with a deadly step pack and spin package that make him a force on offense. The biggest flaw in his game is his lack of athleticism which really shows on defense. Wagler struggles to slip screens and once beaten fails to recover and consistently has to play behind his opponents. Still his offensive potential and already great efficiency as well as his shot diet make Wagler a very intriguing prospect. OFFENSIVE_EVALUATION: A guard with excellent size Wagler is able to get to the rim and draw fouls consistently which paired with his deadly shooting make him a major threat on offense. Shooting 40% from three Wagler uses his step back package effectively to create space and can pretty much sling it from anywhere and on catch and shoot opportunities he is equally as deadly. He also has a spin move which he whips out consistently when he wants to get to the restricted area. His shot diet is extremely good which bodes well for him in the modern NBA. A solid creator Wagler does not turn the ball often and can create shots for his teammates although at not a spectacular level. DEFENSIVE_EVALUATION: For a 6'6" guy with a 7'0" wingspan Wagler is very underwhelming defensively. While his lack of athleticism isn't as noticeable on offense it pops off consistently on defense. Due to his size and lack of athleticism Wagler consistently fails to slip screens and has to play behind his opponents backs, he also fails to recover once beaten but at least is able to minimally contest the shot due to his size and length. PROJECTION: Wagler projects as a high-end starter in the league. His ability to shoot the 3 ball at a high level and seemingly from anywhere is a true weapon while his size allows him to get to the rim consistently. In best case an average defender Wagler will probably struggle defensively due to being a poor athlete and lacking defensive instincts.
