if i were a betting man.... PHYSICALS: Official Measurements 6'3.5" Barefoot 190.2 lbs. 6'7.5" Wingspan 8'4.5" Standing Reach STRENGTHS: Games Watched Louisville v. NC State Louisville v. Arkansas Louisville v. Kentucky Louisville v. SC State Louisville v. Jackson State Louisville v. Bucknell Louisville v. SMU Strengths - Really good size and wingspan for a guard, nearly 6'4 barefoot so he'll be closer to 6'5 in shoes. - Really solid vertical ability for a guard, posting 10 dunks on the season. - 58% of his total field goal attempts on the season were from three, and he hit on 34% of them. While 34% isn't eye popping, he did it on 7.6 attempts per game. - Able to consistently create his own shot off the dribble, but also shot 40% on threes in the P&R, and 41% on spot up's, indicating off ball potential. - Limitless range from three. - Impressive first step and explosiveness off the dribble. - Flashes natural instincts on defense and uses his length to jump passing lanes and get steals. - His ability to decelerate on his drives allows him to draw defenders into contact, with him generating nearly 6 FT's per game and making 84% of them. - Really solid handle allows him to get downhill to the rim where he made 62% of his shots (on pretty limited volume though). - Made 48% of his isolation two point shots, showcasing his consistent ability to create inside the arc. - Flashed very real upside as a passer, averaging 4.7 APG. WEAKNESSES: Weaknesses - His most obvious weakness is his decision making, which is the root cause for most of his problems such as his shot selection and playmaking. - Lingering back injury raises serious durability concerns. However, if his back is now healed, it could be the reason he was so up and down during his time at Louisville. - Shot diet is very questionable, making it hard for him to establish a rhythm as a shooter and remain very streaky. - He plays with the greenest light on planet earth, even if it can be detrimental to the team at times. - He's a rollercoaster of a player in many facets. One day he'll shoot 10/16 from three, the next he'll shoot 1/7. One moment he'll make a highlight pass, the next he'll turn it over three times in a row. Brown really needs to find more consistency in his overall game. - Shot 34% on off the dribble jumpers and 30% on unguarded looks off the dribble. - Shot 36% on transition threes, 25% on isolation threes, 19% on threes off screens, and 25% on hand off's. - His playmaking is the biggest swing factor when it comes to his potential. While he averaged nearly 5 APG, he also averaged 3 TOPG. If he's to ever become more than a scoring guard, he'll need to take better care of the ball at the NBA level. - While he can self create looks from three in isolation, he doesn't make them at a high rate. - Has some of the most head scratching turnovers I've ever watched, at times it's like his body and mind are not working in tandem. - Lack of overall physicality on defense. - One of the most boom or bust prospects in the class. I can't confidently say he has a safe floor, but his ceiling is very high.
