The question I pose is whether this 6'3, 190 pound gaurd is good enough offensively to make up for his god-awful defensive skill and effort. The answer is no, he's not Luka Doncic, he's not James Harden. That's the defensive level he shows, but he's not nearly the playmaker or scorer these players are; he's realistically going to be a bench scorer instead of a star.

After watching the film, I've come to the conclusion that DARIUS ACUFF JR is an extremely talented prospect, but not to the level at which he is touted to be. While he's not a shot cucker, he's also not a particularly gifted 3-point shooter. A misconception I've seen throughout various analyses is the characterization of DARIUS ACUFF JR as a 3-level scorer. He plays a unique pace that fits him, and utilizes that to get downhill and to his spots in the midrange.

DARIUS ACUFF JR is by far the worst defender in this class. I've yet to see him put forth any serious defensive effort. Leading me to believe he simply is incapable of playing defense.
